In this lesson, we will cover the steps necessary to create a content strategy that will help you promote the IHUBApp, promote your own Freelance services, and set yourself competitively apart from Wordpress builders, and be noticed by customers who need an app.

Understand YOUR target audience

The first step in creating your IHUBApp content strategy is to understand who your specific target audience is. We have found that those who are under-resourced or lean on digital staff such as small business owners or entrepreneurs are ideal customers for the IHUBApp.

Research the competition

Researching the local competition is important in order to understand what they are doing well and where there may be opportunities to differentiate yourself. In this case, the competition is likely other app builders, and agencies or freelancers who are building in tools like Wordpress, Wix or Weebly.

Define the unique value proposition

Once you understand the target audience and the competition, you can define your unique value proposition. We already discussed how to create a winning pitch in 3.3 Using question-based selling technique for IHUBApp.

The next steps is to combine YOUR unique value proposition alongside of the benefits of the tool that you will building on.

Not sure what to say? Here’s a few things:

  1. Experience and Expertise: Demonstrate your experience and expertise in their field of work, highlighting specific projects or clients you have worked with in the past, as well as any relevant education or certifications you have obtained. (Don’t forget to mention being a Certified Hubmaster if you are!) This will help potential customers understand that you have the knowledge and skills necessary to complete their project successfully.

  2. Tailored approach: Explain how you can provide a tailored approach to each project, understanding the unique needs and objectives of each customer. This will help potential customers understand that the freelancer is dedicated to providing a customized solution that meets their specific needs, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

  3. Flexibility and Responsiveness: Demonstrate your flexibility and responsiveness, highlighting your ability to work with customers on a schedule that meets their needs and to be available to communicate and make changes as needed throughout the project. This will help your potential customers understand that you are dedicated to providing excellent customer service and will be responsive to their needs and concerns throughout the project.

Develop a content plan for IHUBApp that ROCKS!

With a clear understanding of the target audience, competition, and unique value proposition, you can develop a content plan that will help you promote the IHUBApp, promote your own services, and set yourself apart from the competition. This may include creating blog posts, videos, and other types of content that showcase the benefits of the IHUBApp and your own services.

Create a distribution plan

Once you have developed a content plan, you need to create a distribution plan that will help you reach your target audience. This may include using social media, email marketing, and other tactics to get your content in front of the right people.

Implement and measure
